Hard to believe, but that’s it. Two weeks until Christmas. I swear, it feels
like Halloween was last weekend and as if Thanksgiving never happened.

Things’ve been going really well, however, which probably explains the
compression of time. I’m working with an indie studio who’s got two of my
scripts, and I think one’s pretty much a lock for production. I just sent a
producer my Everglades slasher flick, and there’s enough interest that I’ve
begun the work writing the sequel, because the ‘glades project has
‘franchise’ written all over it. Spent much of the past week running through
the final draft of the first script, refamiliarizing myself with the
characters, kills, etc., which led to the outline pretty much writing
itself. Now, it’s the fun part–putting the muscle and meat on the skeleton.
Been working on that the past three nights, and have been really happy with
the way it’s going. Also, a couple of freelance gigs dropped into my lap
(holidays are always a good time to get multiple paying gigs), and I’ve
remained a fiend on the treadmill, so the pounds have kept comin’ off,
despite Pam’s baking, it being egg nog season, and the house being filled
with cookies.

Guess looking at it this way, time doesn’t seem to be flying by quite so
fast…but fast enough.

Still got some shopping to do, still got some deadlines to meet, and with
Dave back from his financial meetings in San Fran, still hoping for a bit of
an early Xmas present to take shape up in NY. Fingers crossed, Santa and New
Year’s don’t entirely bring the world to a standstill.

Sigh…not that I can blame ‘em, they don’t keep the same hours I do, but
the birds are chirping outside my window again. Sun’s up, which means my 19
hour shift’s about to come to an end.

But not until I put one more scene in the bank. 19 hours, 20, what’s the
difference when you’re on a roll?
